Doha Old Port is a pioneer port in the State of Qatar and it is located at Doha. Due to the increasing number of tourists arriving in cruise ships Ministry of Transport and Communication took measures to facilitate the passengers’ disembarkation process and entry procedures. It is required to deepen the existing channel and maneuvering area and as well as construction of breasting and mooring dolphins to extent the existing berths.
Ammico’s scope of work on the project comprised of construction of dolphins and walkways. The following works were undertaken by Ammico:
Installation of offshore vertical and raked piles with 1200 mm diameter. • Construction of breasting and mooring dolphins • Walkway fabrication and installation between dolphins and existing berth • Installation of fender and bollard
